NYFW: Alice & Olivia

Well I have been holding on to fashion week way too long. I still think about it all the time and remember how simply amazing it was! This was one of my absolute favorite days.  Amber and I got to go backstage for Alice & Olivia and it was one of the most amazing lines I have ever seen.  I would wear every single piece from the collection.  I love how wearable yet stunning it all is.  I know this post has a ton of pictures but it was a must, I couldn't leave anything out! Everything from the hair to the makeup was perfection.  Each time after I left backstage of a show I wanted to go back and try the hair and makeup on myself.  This clean yet chic look was the exact finish the clothes needed and adored it.

I love a chill outfit that I feel comfortable yet cool in.  If you don't already have a pair of boyfriend jeans you NEED to get some.  They are perfect for those days that you want to be comfy, cool, and a little different.  I will say it's tough to find a good pair and when you do you will know it! I recommend sizing up one to make them legit boyfriend jeans.

I normally don't do posts on the weekend but I figured since I needed to announced the Bellami winners so why not throw in an extra outfit post.  This outfit here is the perfect weekend chill outfit.  These little flats are possible my most favorite little shoes ever.  I have numerous pairs and I always have a pair in my purse ready to go.  They fold up tiny and come in a little bag so you can just easily throw them in your purse, diaper bag, or whatever you would like.  Not to mention they are extremely comfy! Okay okay and now I will get to the winners because I know that's all what you want to see. Just so everyone knows, these winners were chosen at random with the random number generator.

Baby Boys 2nd Bday

This little boy right here was born 2 years ago today exactly at midnight.  He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love him with all my heart.  This is such a happy day but for some reason I can't help but be emotional.  I can't believe my baby boy has turned 2, I am a mother of a two year old....it's all so crazy! Hanes is my best friend and partner in crime.  Anything I do Hanes is right by my side and I wouldn't have it any other way. 
You would all die if you heard how amazing he talks now, I swear it's the cutest thing you will ever hear.  I will try to do videos more because I want you all to see his little personality.  I just want to wish my baby boy a happy 2nd birthday and say that I'm the luckiest mommy in the world that you chose me! I love you Hanes Brody Van Brocklin!

I am always looking for an easy dress to throw on any day or night and run out the door.  You could wear this to a meeting, to work, to the office, to run errands, or really anywhere.  I can't wait to pair it with a cozy faux fur coat for winter.  This jersey dress is different too because it is flattering to the figure.  It doesn't hug every single inch of your body where you don't feel like you can even breathe.  Anyways I am just going to put this simple and say this dress is a must in your wardrobe.

Let's get real for a minute here shall we.....I am currently sitting on my butt with the worst cold ever, I've been limping around all day on a more than likely broken toe (I'm like 90% positive), took medicine for the pain that made me want to barf and pass out all day, and just praying to get better pretty dang quick.  I had a rough day and just want to get feeling better.  We all have those days and man do they suck.  Now I know it could be so much worse and trust me I'm grateful it's not, but I hope you all had a better day than I did and if not I'm truly sorry.  Okay my sob song is over, I'm sorry to bore you with it today!

Colors of Fall

This post contains the perfect fall colors.  I love this orange color for fall, it would be perfect paired with a caramel coat which is one of my favs.  Oh and these Frye boots.......you know a pair of boots is good if you still love them after having them a couple years.
I can't leave Hanes out because he seriously is killing me in this outfit.  He looks like such a big boy and I just can't take it.  These little distressed pants are to die for and perfect for fall!!

Okay so I have to talk about my favorite bag here for a minute.  My sweet husband got it for my birthday back in July and it means so much to me because I would never go out and buy it for myself. He is sweet like that and always gets me something that I wouldn't get for myself and I love that.  Well I may have found a way now that I can get more luxury items for myself without waiting for every bday for my husband to get them........my solution is called WorthIt.
It is this amazing new website that you can find a specific item at the price point that you want without searching hundreds of stores and websites.  I honestly get so annoyed searching stores and websites and continuing to check without ever pulling the trigger because it never goes to the price I need! Instead of doing that I now just use WorthItand it makes the process much easier and is headache free.  It's nice because WorthIt will send you a notification the moment the item hits your price range and tells you exactly where to find it.  Hopefully WorthIt can help you as well, let me know if you like it and what item you found through it for a better price, I would love to hear!

Halloween Recap

 Okay so I know we are past Halloween but I had to share Hanes' costume on here because he killed me! We decided to make him into a mini Beetlejuice! He wasn't so sure about it as first but once everyone loved it so did he.  He would go up to everyone and say, "Beetlejuice." He was quite the little stud!
Oh and there is one little look at Brods and mine.....we were the classic Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone from Anchor Man.  It truly was one of our best yet.  Brod was so classic the whole night and never came out of character, and that stache was pretty legit as well!

Must Have Faux Fur

I know for some people a faux fur jacket may be a little bold but never kick it until you try one on. Yes it's not something I can wear everyday but it's a perfect piece to make any outfit a statement.  Now since it isn't a piece I can wear every day I don't want to spend a fortune on it, this H&M jacket was the perfect find for me.  I'm sure you can find them a bunch of places right now because they are in so just keep your eyes out.  I hope you all have a good Monday and try to stay positive....Friday is only 4 days away!

Cheetah Chill

I hope everyone had a decent Monday, I have to admit that mine was quite lazy.  I spent the day with my two boys, ran some errands and enjoyed the couch.  Sometimes that's all the energy I have on a Monday.
I also have to tell you all how grateful I am for you! I don't feel like I say it enough sometimes but you really mean so much to me.  If it wasn't for all of you I wouldn't be where I am today.  Every one of your sweet comments and emails make my day.  I read every one and appreciate them more than you even know.  Thank you all and I love you!!

This was our Sunday look last week and man was it nippy outside.  This weather keeps tripping me out because one second it will be freezing and the next it's sunny as can be.  I guess it makes dressing fun (or difficult) and that's always good.
I had to put little man in his cozy moccs and warm little jacket.  He is killing me with how stinking cute he is.  His personality lately kills me, I can already tell he is going to have his dads personality which I love! He is sweetest little boy with the biggest heart and everyone loves him.....just like his daddy.

My cute sis that I talked about previously with B Couture Photography took these pics.  It's pretty convenient to have an awesome sister that can take pics for me every once in a while, I just wish we lived closer so I could see her more than once every other month. Okay I just made it seem like she lives like in Australia......oh don't worry it's just St. George.  It sure does feels like Australia sometimes though.
Okay and we have to take a second to talk about little dudes hair, it is killing me in these pictures.  It seriously is so long and I just can NOT cut it.  It is too curly and thick and lucious and I can't do it.  People can call him a girl all they want but I really don't care.  It's a war to get him not to wear a hat everyday anyway so I may as well keep it long for now.

Sego Lily Spa Day

I got to spend an entire day at Sego Lily Spa and it was seriously a dream, I have never been so relaxed in my life.  The day began with a honey body polish that was so amazing.  It is crazy, my skin has never felt so soft in my life.  I then got to move onto a nice long relaxing massage.  Honestly, I wish I could have a massage like this everyday of my life.  It is so relaxing and makes me feel like an entirely new person and would be an awesome way to start each day.
Next would have to be my favorite part.....the organic harvest facial.  Okay this is kind of embarrassing but I have never had a facial before.  I am so disappointed in myself for waiting until now! It was the most amazing thing that has ever happened to my skin.  I came out of the room with my skin glowing, it made me realize how important it really is to take care of my skin on a daily basis.
To finish the day off I got a much needed pedicure.  Now this wasn't any normal pedi, I got a massage, a wax covering to smooth the skin and some real yummy oils that made me feet as soft as a babies bottom.  The girl that did my pedi had to be a little careful because do you remember how you said I thought I broke my toe.....well I did! I broke it on Hanes' bday at this jump house and man was it stupid. I was and still am so mad at myself!

Anyway, the day was amazing and I'm a little bummed it's over. I guess I will just have to go back in sooner than I anticipated. Oh and the best part is, they are giving all CaraLoren followers 20% off any treatment from Monday thru Thursday at Layton or the Midvale location.  This deal will last until Thanksgiving so don't miss out. I know I WILL be taking advantage of this!

Kingdom and State Winter Line Preview

I have been holding this in long enough but it's now time for me to spill the beans. I had the unreal opportunity to co design a few pieces for the winter collection from Kingdom & State.  The whole experience has been pretty surreal and I am bursting with excitement that the line is about to come out! We have been working on this for quite sometime and it seems crazy that it is coming out in a week or so.  I feel like I have been waiting so long and it's finally here.  I really hope you all like the pieces because I am obsessed.  They are clean, chic, and exactly what ever girl needs in her closet.  I don't know how I'm not going to wear them everyday.
The pictures below were from a little event that Tan (owner of Kingdom & State) and I hosted.  We had a fashion show and viewing for some press and local bloggers and it was such a success.  I will be sure to keep you all updated on the exact launch date but I am just so excited to share this all with you.   
The video below (which is my favorite part), was filmed throughout the entire process.  From meetings, to shoots, and to the final runway and presentation day.  The fabulous Mixtape Collective made the video and I am in awe of how amazing it turned. It makes me wish I could make videos and was that talented.
Anyways thank you to all of my followers because without you I wouldn't be where I am today and have this amazing opportunity. I hope you all enjoy this little peak at the collection and I will be sure to keep you updated on the launch date! Love you all!

Well guys, I'm wearing black again.  I know I know, I wear it all the time but I just love it too much! It's so sleek and clean and it's the easiest thing for me to put on.  One of my favorite colors to put with black is navy blue so I try to put it together as often as possible.  I know so many people say it can't go together but I think they are meant for each other.  Also, this look is another one of the looks that was featured in the Steve Madden magazine so I hope you like!

Leather Accents

This is one of those perfect chill outfits that would fit almost any occasion. This blazer is amazing and will be worn a lot this fall and winter, it's also really comfy which is a big deal with me for blazers.  I will not wear a blazer if I can't move my arms, it drives me crazy! Umm and these boots.....pretty perfect right?  These boots are definitely a new fav, when you see them close up it will blow your mind how much work is put into making these boots.  It's pretty amazing actually.

I mean let's be honest, who doesn't love the plaid trend that's going on right now.  It is perfect and I hope it continues through Christmas because I will be wearing it left and right!
If you can't tell I have into the messy hair look lately for some reason.  Maybe it's just because I'm super lazy or because I feel a little Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen ish but I am liking it.  I know some people don't dig the look but you'll just have to deal with it every once in a while because I like it.
