Hey there! I just made it to New York and I can't wait to share it all with you. I have never been here and it is so unreal, it feels like a whole other world! I wish my boys were here with me because I know they would love it and fit right in. Nena & Co.

Hey peeps! So things are pretty crazy here in New York and I can't wait to share everything with you. The best way to follow along with me would be through instagram, I try to update that as much as possible.  Anyways let's get to today's post because it's a good one. I can not wait to tell you all about one of my absolute favorite new companies...... Nena & Co.  My bag from Nena & Co. is the coolest bag I think I have ever owned.  I have used it almost every day since I have got it.  Each bag is one of a kind and is unique and beautiful.  Oh and it's really nice because they transition into diaper bags really easy.  There is a front pocket that is perfect for me to slip Hanes' sippy into and would work wonders with a bottle.
One of the coolest things about the Nena & Co. bags is that they come from an amazing recycle process in Guatamala.  Each bag is handcrafted and no two bags will ever be the same, how cool is that? I can't leave out the best part of Nena & Co., they are taking a percentage of what they made and are going to Guatemala to implement a water filtration system down there.  Pretty cool right!?

The City

Okay so I just wanted to start NYFW posts off with some cool city pics and some fun action pics with my gal Amber.  We got a classic airport shot even though I look sleepier than ever. I took a red eye flight and let's just say I will not being doing that again.
There are also a couple pics of the cute apartment we are staying at.  It's made the whole trip a little better because we have a kitchen plus a family room and it feels a little more homey, but even mentioning the word home gets me teary eyed.  I seriously am the biggest baby and get home sick in a day.  I miss my boys and their laughs and kisses, I wish more than anything I could be cuddling with them in bed right now.  Anyways, you can start scrolling down and I will chat a little more about the post!

I decided to jump back and forth a little from NYFW posts to my at home posts.  I wore this dress from Kingdom & State before I left from fashion week and it's still a favorite of mine.  The print is something I have never seen before and I adore it.  It is one of those pieces that just pops and we all need more of those in our closets.  I decided I was going to look for more pieces like this for fall because I get stuck in buying the same basic pieces all the time and I really need to switch things up a little.  I hope you enjoy the fun pieces as well as the basics.
p.s. It's not the same with Hanes not in my posts so I promise I will work on getting him in more soon. His face is just too cute not to see.

NYFW: Keep It Classy

Okay so I decided to finish off this look from the first at NYFW.  I went for a very chic, clean and classy look and I have to say, I was happy the outcome.  This skirt is from Kingdom & State and the material on it is just impeccable. I can't get over the quality and feel of it, I wish every skirt of mine was this same material.  I know this will be a go to skirt of mine for every upcoming season.  You can wear it like I did hear with open toed heels for the summer and early fall and then transition with booties and tights for the winter.

NYFW: Peplum love

Another day in New York here and I decided to dress down a little for some fun errands.  I know people may say that peplums are getting old or whatever but I still adore them.  They are so easy to wear and I always feel so feminine and cute in them.  Torn by Ronny Kobo have the best peplums I have ever tried on, I wish I could have every single one.  Trust me, it's worth a little splurge to get one that fits correctly.  You will be able to tell the difference.
Jessica also got some killer shots of Amber and I in the subway.  She is so good at just randomly pulling out her camera and getting action shots.  Half the time we didn't even know she was taking pics and I love that.

Little Details

As you can see in these pictures, little man took a nasty spill.  He tripped down some cement stair and I was sure he had broken something, it made my heart stop right then and there.  It could have been a lot worse so I'm very grateful all he got was scratches. These pics were from a little while back so he is all better now but it was pretty traumatic for little man.  I hope you all have a fabulous Monday and aren't dreading it as much as I am!

Trouser Couple

This is for sure one of my favorite looks I did with Amber for fashion week! We randomly both brought fun, bright colored trousers so we knew it was meant to be a shoot. Jessica used her photog skills as usually and worked her magic.
It's kind of funny how quick you can make a friend. Amber and I had been online friends forever and only got to meet up a couple times before fashion week but knew we wanted to stay together at fashion week. I swear after one day it was like we had been besties for years. It's funny because you see little kids make best friends with someone they met two minutes ago and that's seriously how I felt. Anyways I just had to reminisce for a minute about fashion week because it now seems like a big blur. I hope you like this shoot and have enjoyed following me through fashion week posts. NYFW: Pop of Pink Color Challenge

I couldn't be more excited to be in this little color challenge with all of these fabulous ladies! The color challenge for the month is pink and what better color to start off with right?  Pink is a color that I feel so many women are afraid of but it should be the exact opposite.  We should want to share our girly side and sport pink like we own the color.  After looking at this post I realized that I need to wear pink much more often.
I had to have this pink dress because it is the perfect transitional pink piece, which I know can be a little tricky.  I got to wear to New York to Fashion Week and I have to say, it was one of my favorite looks.  The material is sweater and I know it will look great in the fall and winter with some tights and knee high boots.  I'm sure you will be seeing it around here more often.

Distressed with Leather

There are so many favorites of mine in this post.  I love a good distressed sweater, a leather jacket and faux leather pants.  These will be pieces I will wear all throughout fall and winter.  Oh my gosh and this lipstick is for sure one of my go-to colors right now.  I was looking for a good purple lip color for quite some time and of course I found it at Mac.  I usually just do a nude liner under my lipsticks but with this one a recommend doing the purple liner as well to keep it bright and a true purple. I am slightly obsessed with lipstick right now since fall is somewhat here so i will make sure I share the color with you along with my new makeup routine and products.

University Look + Clothing Sale

I have had the opportunity to collaborate with University Mall in Provo and I have loved every second of it.  I got to go shopping there on Saturday and see all the stores they had.  I swear I shopped for a good 4 hours and would have gone more if my boys would have let me.  Here are a couple of things I picked up in the post below.  I have been on a search for a good pair of boyfriend jeans for quite some time and I think I finally found the perfect pair there.

NYFW: Socialyte Gala

I brought you another NYFW look again today.  I tried to spread them out so you didn't get sick of them, I hope you like.  This was one of my favorite looks of fashion week.  It was so simple yet so much fun and sassy.  I tried a new do with my hair and I actually really loved it.  The back is just a simple twist and held with a bobby pin.  It gave the dress a little more ump and I actually really like the outcome. 
I wore this dress the night of the Socialyte Gala where I was name "Newcomer of The Year" with my lady Amber.  Thank you guys so so much for voting, you are all the sweetest and I owe it all to you.  Looking back at fashion week makes me miss it a little but then I look at these boys laying next to me and I am happy to be home.  I am the first to admit I am a home body and have a hard time leaving, but you know what.....I'm just fine with that!

I must talk about this new necklace of mine because I am slightly obsessed! It is from Lisa Leonard and it is one of those pieces that is just timeless and you could seriously wear it with every single outfit.  It has such stunning little details designed into the necklace that you usually do not see.  I am very excited to wear this necklace all the time and add it to my go-to collection.
Next is this dress......I LOVE it! It's a nice piece that can transition from summer to fall really easy.  I wore it on a little warmer day so I wore it with some sandal wedges and then threw on the leather jacket later on.

Fall Family

Last weekend was so beautiful outside that we figured why not get some pics of us before it gets too chilly for them.  Jorden was so sweet to snap away and get us just how we were.....playing, chasing Hanes, and chatting away.  I don't know what it is about getting simple family pictures but in my eyes you can never have too many! At the rate this little man changes I need as many pictures as I can get.  I want to remember everything!

Why not wear sweats everyday.....this is exactly what goes on in my head every morning when I am getting dressed.  Sweats are so in right now and there is nothing better than sweats with some leather details.  Trust me, there is no one happier than me about the new sweat trend that has come about, I seriously could wear them every day and I would be satisfied.  Oh yeah and who could pass on a perfect fitting leather jacket.  It has such a slim nice fit and it's the go-to jacket to match with a pair of jeans, sweats, or even a little black dress.  I hope you guys enjoy my chill outfit I sported over the weekend.
